Captain Beefheart & the Magic Band - Doc at the Radar Station

To say that this album is R'n'R, perhaps is too mildly. This is unstoppable train which ran over my brain and left serious consequences :)

Also, this post is not only from me, it is also from miss K. Be grateful to her, please :)

James Brown - The Payback

Knowing several live albums of James Brown, I realized that I mostly dissatisfied with them. While undoubtedly made of the great songs, I had objections, in the first place, with rarely changing repertoire, and for me never quite clear thing, completely ignoring songs from this fantastic album, which as a whole is definition of hypnotic funk ... You know, maybe the audience expected always the same hits, but I'm not interested in it at all. After all, there is the question of why anyone even record that huge amount of songs,  without giving them a chance to live ..
Basically, pandering to the audience, as for me, Is just tapping in one place and i have no motive to see artist on concert again. But, does that means you do not need to listen to this wild album? On the contrary, it should be consumed in large quantities :)

Kid Koala - 12 Bit Blues

Rock is, somehow, dead. Dead for many reasons, and among many, because crystal production. Although the dirty sound was the result of imperfect technology, I believe, that sharpness remained deeply etched in the subconscious of many people. Life itself does not "sound" so good, it could be said that it is growl, not caring much at all for us .... and if nothing else, sound of sixties and seventies was closer to this feeling...
But, it's not that black. Year is 2012, flowers is in sound everywhere, but, as opposed to the statement from the beginning, this wild torrent of sound come out of my speakers and it pleases me very, very much... :)

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Extra Width

Are you interested in real, basic rock? Maybe is this album hard to swallow for 21st century music consumers, it have very murky and primitive production, and "production" is very dangerous mantra today, like special effects in movies. This two things should be in service of art, not opposite. At least, they should complement each other.
For me this LP is roots, something i will never stop listening to. It's dirty and wild rock record at its very best, and for me, that's enough. Hallelujah  :)

Mark Stewart - Edit

What a nice piece of music! I always liked raw sounds. Today, music is too pure. This is not natural, man. And, in that case, Mark Stewart is my counterpart, that's for sure. In whole, this is tipical 21st century album, samples, hip - hop beats, little bit reggae. But, from the other side, everything here is wild, dirty, unpredictable, rich in sounds, he doesen't respect rules at all.  So, where is the catch? Well, Stewart knows what he wants and does it very well.

John Zorn - The Big Gundown: John Zorn Plays the Music of Ennio Morricone (15th Anniversary Edition)

I always tought about Zorn like one of the greatest. And Morricone? Well, with his significant sound, he is deeply in world's subconscious by now. I watched “Once upon a time in the West” few days ago, that is perfect movie. Leone and Morricone made peace of art, raw model for present art. You can say: "It is classic", but once upon a time it was the universe with its own rules. Just like today's post. Morricone for 21st Century.

Iggy Pop - The Idiot

What you can say about Iggy? I always looked him as a natural force, something very primitiv. This album is no different, it’s raw and wild, bunch of middle tempo songs, burst of energy. It really shakes, that's for sure. Try it. But...if you are unstable person, then don't take it, it has some kind of bad reputation. I mean, just look at picture  :)

Keith LeBlanc - Stop the Confusion (Global Interference)

Maybe I'm not an expert in a modern music, but I am very good at listening music itself. So, is this modern album? I don't have idea. Is it good album? O, yes, it's great...
