Sun Ra & His Intergalactic Myth Science Solar Arkestra - Sleeping Beauty

This album have very classic sound, experimentalism is reduced to a minimum and it is infused with beauty as the main characteristic. And because all of this, it seems like a curiosity in strange career of man named Sun Ra. But, the truth is that the enormous talent of Sun Ra and his followers have no limits. Freedom is in turning from direction :)

Listen to early morning or late evening. And perhaps even during the day :)

Bohren & der Club of Gore - Black Earth

Fast food, fast fashion, fast movies, fast flow of information, rapidly maturing, fast courses, everything is fast and too fast ... And yet, if you want to make a break, a step further from the imposed rules, well, here is one of the possible solutions :)
Powerful, seductive and extremely slow solution :)

John Cale - Slow Dazzle

I first heard for Cale long time ago. I had his collaboration with Terry Riley, otherwise brilliant album "Church of Anthrax", on tape and I believe it was one of my first encounter with a different form of music. Wonderful time, when my musical path was closely connected with some interesting and today distant people. Around that time, this album came to me and it was something I kept coming back for years, enjoying in authentic vision of one seemingly classic sound .....
Cale, authentic savage   :)

Boredoms - Seadrum/House of Sun

A long time have passed since their noisy trash firstborn, through the influence of the DJ culture in nineties. till, for now, last point in their discography. Here, they offering to us two great pieces, two sides of one repetitive vision ..
Anyway, any comment is redundant here, turn up volume and let the music carry itself :)

Keith & Julie Tippett - Couple in Spirit

A man and a woman, a piano and voice, these are the frames of this great album. Does it seem too general and potentially boring?
Believe me, precisely this reaction you will not have  :)

Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones

I didn't listen this LP maybe few years, it just existed in my memory like a great influence, with it's own life in my head. Suddenly, it came back like long lost friend. And somehow, that long lost friend wasn't shadow anymore, he is brand new friend, full of new stories and intimate sounds, willing to share it with you. Maybe it's the best kind of friendship, made from the past, rarely consumed, but always fresh and enjoyable...

Diamanda Galás - La Serpenta Canta

If you mix anachronistic music genre like blues with singer Diamanda Galas, what you get? Pure Diamanda Galas :) I can tell many things about Diamanda, she is very interesting persona, but, i leave judgment to you. Only one thing i must tell, hold on tight to your chair  :)

John Cale / Lou Reed - Songs for Drella

Ok, i'm back :) Nine month is not so much time, i'm little bit (b)older, i had strange days and happy days, like every ordinary human being. Actualy, i quit my blogging, because higher force "killed" all my rapidshare and mediafire links, and i'm not Don Quixote at all. So, new scheme is very airy, online listening..... :)
And today's post? Pure magic based on opposite, i mean, Reed and Cale, i'm not sure, but they are not so much in love :) And what we got? Naturally, explosion. Musically, sometimes very beautiful, sometimes very wild, very minimalistic and very filled sound. Thematic, this is story about Worhol, 15 short observations. Don't read books about him, everything is here, lot a space to think about Andy's character. I always was against taking knowledge from books exclusively, i'm more into making my own picture based on my experience and some crucial information. And "Songs for Drella" is just that, crucial information.
So, if you are fan of Pop Art (i'm not) this is certanly must have. But thing is, this is much deeper, story about great personality and about unique view of the world, told from a very intimate perspective. Andy said in 1968 "in the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes" This obviously became true, but in that time fame was reserved only for very strong individual, and that is what he was.
