Nine Rain - Nine Rain

This collaboration, between one of the founders of the famous San Francisco avant-garde group Tuxedomoon, Steven Brown, and his Mexican friends has produced a very interesting result. Although, perhaps not perfect, this somewhat raw mix of rhythms, with melancholic saxophone and occasional bursts of unbridled energy, above all reminds me of Mexico because it's wide palette. If we look, e.g. pictures of Frida Khalo or a plate of Mexican food we will see one thing: an assembly of bright colors and intense flavors, all in one place. We have the same situation here. Full Flavor.
And what to say about all that, except, enjoy your meal :)

African Head Charge - Song of Praise

Stepping out of the more hermetic sound that this strange band made with this album may make it more receptive and modern, but it also brings some ancient sound forms, archaic tunes and tribal chants. Now, how are this two going together? Well, let's put it this way: If the welder is the master of his job, the weld is barely noticeable. Only so much to feel fine texture under our fingers when we touch it :)
