Kid Koala - 12 Bit Blues

Rock is, somehow, dead. Dead for many reasons, and among many, because crystal production. Although the dirty sound was the result of imperfect technology, I believe, that sharpness remained deeply etched in the subconscious of many people. Life itself does not "sound" so good, it could be said that it is growl, not caring much at all for us .... and if nothing else, sound of sixties and seventies was closer to this feeling...
But, it's not that black. Year is 2012, flowers is in sound everywhere, but, as opposed to the statement from the beginning, this wild torrent of sound come out of my speakers and it pleases me very, very much... :)

Richard Horowitz & Sussan Deyhim - Majoun

Characteristics of oriental sound, and thing that causes my respect for it, is that strong element of psychedelia. After all, the early encounters of alternative music in early seventies, and before that jazz, with oriental music, spread their musical horizons over the limit and that was not accidental. Oriental sound was shining with a splendor of timeless, as well as landscapes from which she came. And timelessness in art is an imperative ...
And today's post, although production is very modern and orchestration is a classic, undoubtedly belong to the Mr. Orient.
Listen out loud :)

Holger Czukay - On the Way to the Peak of Normal

Two days ago was my birthday, so, all in all, it wasn't bad day :) Now, the concept of birthdays is inevitably tied to the end of one and for the start of a new life cycle. And somehow our civilized way of thinking imposed to us this new beginning, to try to rein us, to become better, and that "better" is in close connection with our alignment with standards that we are currently offering. Now, how is that consistent with ourselves, the question is ...
Therefore, taking into account the above, I found a suitable choice for today's post with its Holy Grail title "On the Way to the Peak of Normal". With title, as something that is required of us, and with the music, which with its peculiarities says : " Yes, yes, maybe next year ".   :P

Czukay, master of irony  :)

Solex - Low Kick and Hard Bop

If I know good, Elisabeth Esselink, the main force behind "Solex" name, has a record shop. Also, she has good musical taste. Third, it is the age of electronic music, copy/paste time. Under that circumstances she recorded a strange and very interesting, I dare to say, rock album.
Of course, this is rock for the new millennium  :)

Revolting Cocks - Beers, Steers + Queers [Bonus Tracks]

Well, this is definitely my kind of disco music. Perfect soundtrack for these apocalyptic days of our lives. Dark, psychedelic, aggressive and nihilistic. But, like in real life, nothing is black & white. After all, Jourgenson is very, very funny guy. How i can say something like that? Just play this and you will see :)

Mark Stewart - Edit

What a nice piece of music! I always liked raw sounds. Today, music is too pure. This is not natural, man. And, in that case, Mark Stewart is my counterpart, that's for sure. In whole, this is tipical 21st century album, samples, hip - hop beats, little bit reggae. But, from the other side, everything here is wild, dirty, unpredictable, rich in sounds, he doesen't respect rules at all.  So, where is the catch? Well, Stewart knows what he wants and does it very well.

Keith LeBlanc - Stop the Confusion (Global Interference)

Maybe I'm not an expert in a modern music, but I am very good at listening music itself. So, is this modern album? I don't have idea. Is it good album? O, yes, it's great...
